Looks like everything has been going well with this couple! Jill Duggar spent her Christmas Eve with the fambam of husband, Derick Dillard, where the 23-year-old TLC star proudly showed her baby bump in the photo she posted on Instagram.
"Great time with the Dillard relatives on Christmas Eve!" Jill wrote, along with a family picture taken of her with her in-laws. "#dillardfam #ChristmasEve #familytime."
In the Instagram photo she posted, Jill is wearing a candy cane striped shirt matched with a max skirt and sneakers. The proud and excited mom-to-be smiles beside husband, Derick Dillard, who is wearing a plain button-down shirt in the family photo.
This is first time to be celebrating the holiday season as a wife, after she married Dillard in a large ceremony in Springdale, Arkansas six months ago. Just last weekend, Derick tweeted Jill to celebrate six months of being married.
"6 months ago today, I married my best friend! Happy 6 monthiversary @jillmdillard I love you more than you know!" Dillard wrote.
2 months after their wedding, the happy couple announced that they were expecting their first child together. "We really didn't know how long we'd be able to keep it a secret with all of our friends. We wanted to tell them," Jill later confessed in an interview.
"Believing that life begins at conception and that every life is precious no matter how young, we would - even if there were to be a miscarriage - we would still want that child to be recognized," she said. "So it was something that we thought about and went forward with."
As for how her husband has been taking care of her throughout her pregnancy? "He is so good!" Jill grinned while talking about her husband. "He makes sure he gives me snacks before I get out of bed - protein snacks or saltines just so I'll have something in my tummy before I start moving around. Grabbing me water...so he is so sweet. He is amazing... Married life is the best!"
