Jason Aladean and fiancé, Brittany Kerr, spent their Christmas Eve together with his two daughters at his house just outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
"Happy Holidays everybody!!!" the 37-year-old country singer, wrote Dec. 24 in an Instagram update. "Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas from our family to yours."
In the Instagram photo he posted, 13-year-old and 7-year-old daughters named Keeley and Kendyl respectively (Aldean's daughters from first marriage with high school sweetheart Jessica Ussery) sits beside Kerr's both sides, while Aldean wraps his arms around his girls from behind. The four looked cozy and happy at home for their first Christmas spent together as one family.
The former "American Idol" contestant also posted a photo in Instagam showing the family's festivities, where she gave the eldest daughter, Keeley, a big affectionate kiss on the cheek. "Kisses for my sweetness," she wrote. "#merrychristmaseve #blessed."
Just six months ago, it was reported that the country singer's daughters were still adjusting to Kerr, whom they considered an outsider.
"Jason is working Brittany into Kendyl and Keeley's lives, yet they see her as the other woman," a source said. "It's hard. They're important to him."
In a recent interview, Aldean looked back at the crazy year he had and hinted that he was relieved to see that the buzz encircling his relationship with the former NBA dancer had subsided.
"This year has been a good year for us," Aldean said on Dec. 2. "All of this... now [Brittany] can come out to shows and be normal. All the craziness around us has died down, and that's been the coolest thing about this year."
The gossip surrounding the relationship of Aldean and Kerr started 2 years ago when he was caught kissing Kerr in a bar in L. A., while he was still married to Ussery. A year after the incident, he was reported to have filed for divorce and just this past September, the couple announced their engagement.
The thing that angered Aldean the most was how he felt so worried that the situation could potentially affect his two daughters.
"I'm pretty private," he admitted in an interview a few months ago. "But over the last couple of years I've gotten that taken away from me, which kind of pissed me off. You know, my kids get on there and read all that. I'm not blaming anybody. Obviously, a lot of that stuff is my own deal."
