An article that appeared on Comic Book reports that the films has already been classified by the Alberta Film Classification committee, which means that a trailer is ready for screening; the footage is set to carry a 1 minute 48 seconds running time and is rated PG.
In the meantime, here's the official synopsis for Ant Man:
"The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time Marvel Studios' Ant-Man. Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."
Marvel's initial press release on Ant Man:
"Marvel Studios began principal photography today in San Francisco, California, on its newest Super Hero franchise Marvel's "Ant-Man."
"Set for release in the United States on July 17, 2015, the film is directed by Peyton Reed ("Bring it On," "The Break-Up") and stars Paul Rudd ("I Love You Man," "Role Models") as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, and Michael Douglas ("Behind The Candelabra," "Wall Street") as his mentor Dr. Hank Pym and Evangeline Lilly ("The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," "Lost") as Hope Van Dyne, daughter of Hank Pym."
Michael Douglas, playing the role of Hank Pym, is the scientist-inventor of the shrinking technology and the original Ant-Man. Pym has been a key member of the Avengers and infamously created one of the team's most dangerous villains, Ultron. Rudd's character Scott Lang adopted the mantle from Pym after stealing the technology from its inventor in order to pull off a heist in order to provide for his daughter.
It is also reported that John Slattery of Mad Men fame, and rapper T.I have been recruited for Ant Man.
Ant Man will be released on July 17, 2015.
