WWE Superstar John Cena's divorce war has come to an end, after he and soon-to-be ex-wife Elizabeth Huberdeau have decided to "bury the hatchet."
On Wednesday, TMZ said the WWE and "Raw" wrestling star will be moving on from Huberdeau after the duo came to a peaceful agreement. A heated war began when John Cena filed for divorce and from his high school sweetheart Elizabeth Huberdeau who was left blind-sided after being married for 3 years and she had no idea this was coming. Cena claimed their union was "irretrievably broken."
Huberdeau challenged the petition several days later, alleging the legal document was riddled with errors. Huberdeau also went public with allegations that John was giving her the smack-down by having affairs with other women. Imagine that! She even put up a challenge to the prenuptial agreement she signed when they exchanged "I-dos" three years ago.
However, the former couple has now come to an undisclosed agreement. Her attorney, Raymond Rafool, tells TMZ, "All matters have been settled and resolved amicably."
When she first found out about the divorce, her lawyer released this statement on her behalf:
"Although it is indeed unfortunate that John Cena decided to divorce his high school sweetheart Liz Cena; particularly, after they have come so far in their lives and in his career together, Liz will and really has no choice but to pursue all of her rights and entitlements. Sadly, divorce is not the way Liz thought her perfect love story would end."
The couple have no children together.
