Just when everybody thinks he or she knows a thing or two about the upcoming DC Film "Batman vs Superman:Dawn of Justice," a new detail comes up which make it more exciting and agonizing at the same time to wait until we can finally watch one of the most anticipated movies in 2016!
We are talking about a recent news posted by Cinema Blend which indicated that Ben Affleck will not be the "only" one playing Batman in this Zack Snyder film as Warner looked to cast 2--- yes, 2 boys, aged 10 and 12, that included a "young Ben Affleck" in the said film. Below is the casting call which was posted by Midthunder Casting:
"Midthunder Casting is conducting a talent search for a Warner Brothers feature film which will heavily feature two young boys in SAG [Screen Actors Guild] principal roles; one Caucasian 12 year old boy (to portray a young Ben Affleck) and one Caucasian 10 year old boy. Both Boys must have extensive WUSHU, KUNG FU, or PENCAK SILAT training and experience; however, they will consider high level (state - world champion) competitors in all martial art forms."
Last month, we wrote about an Instagram user Dan Marcus who posted images and videos of scenes filmed in Chicago, showing movies "The Mask of Zorro" and "Excalibur." For Batman fans, this means the film will feature a flashback of Bruce Wayne's tragic backstory, since "The Mask of Zorro" was the movie that was played the night Waynes' parents, Thomas and Martha, were murdered by a robber, right in front of Bruce at the age of 9. The scene was rather important because it changed the life of then young Bruce Wayne.
It could be that in this Snyder helmed movie, the young Bruce Wayne may have started training as a fighter right after his parent's murder. However, no one can confirm what the "other" boy in the casting call will have for a role.
"Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit theaters in March 2016.
