If the NBA All-Star Game 2015 voting ends today, Cleveland Cavaliers star Lebron James would end up at no. 1. However, with the rate that another player is going, looks like there's a good chance that the 11-year veteran will be overthrown from his position. According to the data released by NBA Hang Time Blog's Lang Whitaker, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is just 3,000 votes away from Lebron.
"Two weeks after voting began for the 2015 NBA All-Star Game, despite finding a new home in the offseason, the King remains on top.
The first results for the 2015 All-Star Game starting lineup voting were announced, and Cleveland's LeBron James is the overall leading vote getter, with 552,967 overall votes. But right on James' heels is Golden State's Stephen Curry, voting leader in the Western Conference and second overall with 549,095 votes."
Stephen Curry's high numbers in NBA All-Star Game 2015 is not surprising as he has lead Golden State Warriors to one of the franchise's best starts. He has a good case of being mentioned in this year's MVP race as he averages 23.4 points, 7.7 assists and 5.0 rebounds. Curry's team is currently on top of the Western Conference standings with 23-4 in win-loss record.
Another point guard though is in danger of missing the NBA All-Star Game 2015 starting five. Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers is currently third in Eastern Conference guards behind John Wall of Washington Wizards and Dwyane Wade of Miami Heat.
Completing the first five in Easter Conference for NBA All-Star Game 2015 are Carmelo Anthony (New York Knicks) and Pau Gasol (Chicago Bulls). Over at the Western Conference, Curry is joined in the first five by Anthony Davis (New Orleans Pelicans), Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers), Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder), Blake Griffin (Los Angeles Clippers), and Marc Gasol (Memphis Grizzlies).
NBA All-Star Game 2015 voting will end on January 19. It will be held in New York on February 15.
