Not only is Tom Cruise coming to grips with the reality of his divorce from Katie Holmes and how it will affect his relationship with youngest child, Suri, but rumors are surfacing that he might already be looking for wife number four, and this time it may be a Scientologist just like him.
The divorce settlement between Cruise and Holmes was agreed to in 11 days, and in that, Holmes got primary custody of their six-year-old daughter, Suri, with Cruise being offered unlimited visitation rights. His priority, said his representatives, was the welfare of his child and getting the chance to see her.
"He's wanted to see her as fast as possible since this started," a source, who cites Cruise's obligation to his sci-fi thriller Oblivion as the main obstacle, told People magazine recently. "He couldn't shut down production, cost people their jobs. People count on him."
"Tom tried his best to do what's right for Suri," Cruise's longtime friend and lawyer Bert Fields stated, who says the star is "sad" but not "bitter" about the situation, reported People.
Rumors are surfacing that the next wife for Cruise might be fellow Scientologist Yolanda Pecoraro, said RadarOnline on Wednesday, given that the pair alleged dated in the past as well.
"Tom's next marriage will be inside the church," Scientology expert Margery Wakefield told the National Enquirer.
Pecoraro, according to the Enquirer, is not engaged or married, and those close to the church said that they want Cruise married off again inside his religion partly for public relation reasons.
"With the embarrassment his divorce has caused the church, they want to stabilize the situation quickly," the source told the National Enquirer.
"They also want to show that Tom has rebounded fast and that his new wife is beautiful and steeped in Scientology. If the church decides to make Yolanda Tom's next wife, they'd certainly want her to have a child soon. So she could quickly be going from her modest apartment to a mansion in Beverly Hills with a baby on the way. And there's little doubt she'd do what's best for the church."
