Cesc Fabregas Has Words For Former Club Barcelona That His Ex Teammates Definitely Won’t Like, Plus His Take On Lionel Messi Transfer Rumours

| By

Cesc Fabregas may have moved from team to team but there's no denying that the impact he has made in each club is big. He played with Arsenal from 2003 to 2011, with Spanish club Barcelona from 2011 to 2014 and now, with Chelsea where he currently leads the league in assists. Fabregas has been away from Barca for only seven months but that is enough for him to say that his team changed dramatically. He even has some words for the Camp Nou-based club that his ex teammates might not like.

In an interview with Spain's Radio Marca, Farbegas described Barcelona as a team called "Lionel Messi and 10 others." So far, Messi leads the team in assist and goals. Fabregas is pointing out that the Argentinean and four-time Ballon d'Or winner has been saving Barca for most of the time.

"This season Barca are Messi and 10 others," he told Radio Marca. "Messi has saved his team on many occasions," the 27-year old midfielder said.

Having played with Messi for four fruitful years, Fabregas was also asked for his opinion regarding recent Lionel Messi transfer rumors.

"As a Barca man, I believe that Messi deserves to retire there for all that he has given the club.

"He is a legend that has changed Barca's history. But, as his team-mate and friend, without doubt I'd love to have Leo by my side."

Just last months, Lionel Messi transfer rumours intensified and one of those clubs linked to the Barcelona superstar is Chelsea, Cesc Fabregas' current club.

"LIONEL MESSI is locked in a dispute over cash with Barcelona - and is considering a summer move to Chelsea.

The Argentine superstar is in a major wrangle over money with the Nou Camp club and is ready to try to trigger a move to Stamford Bridge, because he wants to play in the Premier League.

Barcelona have placed a near £200 million price tag on their most prized asset, but according to sources close to the player, sports giant adidas, who are Chelsea's club sponsors, would be ready to help broker the deal in order to steal the striker from rivals Nike."
