Huawei recently unveiled its newest flagship in China, the Huawei Honor 6 Plus as the premium variant of the Honor 6. The company said on its launch that the Honor 6 Plus' selling point would be its Duo camera, that we've first seen in HTC's One M8.
Though HTC One M8 has been launched almost a year ago, it remains to be a tough competitor among Android phones and received the Global Mobile Award for Best Smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in 2014.

Design and Screen
The HTC One M8 boasts a brushed aluminum finish with sophisticated design and has the dimensions of 5.76 x 2.78 x 0.37 inches and weighs 5.64 ounces and comes in three different colors gunmetal, gold and artic silver looks sophisticated. It also boasts 1,080 x 1,920 pixel resolution and full HD display.
According to Uber Gizmo, the Honor 6 Plus pulls off a design similar to Apple's iPhone 6 Plus and borrowed some features on the previous iPhone like its metallic bezel, but CNET notes that it is actually made of plastic
As for the display, the Huawei Honor 6 Plus offers 5.5 inches screen display and features the same resolution as the HTC One M8's.
Hardware and OS
Huawei Honor 6 Plus is powered by Huawei's own chipset and an octa core processor with 3GB of RAM.
On the other hand, the HTC One M8 has Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU and clock speed of 2.3GHzand supported by a 2GB of RAM.
These two phones also offer the same 32GB internal storage variant, Honor 6 Plus on the other hand, is offering a 16Gb variant.
Both phones' external memory are expandable of up to 128GB via a microSD card.
Camera
Camera wise, HTC was the first to introduce dual camera feature. The HTC One M8 camera has a 4- megapixel rear-facing camera classified as ultra-pixel camera with 1/3'' sensor size and2µm pixel size, that promises decent photo but does not feature an image stabilization. Its rear camera features automatic simultaneous video and image recording, geo-tagging, face/smile detection, HDR, and panorama.
Its rear snapper is coupled by a 5MP front snapper. Both cameras can record 1080p videos at 60fps on its rear and 30fps front.
In comparison to HTC One M8's duo camera, Honor 6 Plus sports two 8-megapixel rear cameras, and Huawei claims that the combination of the two cameras increases the pixel size to 1.98 microns that results in sharper images. It also features different photo effects including aperture adjustments from f/0.95 to f/16, and filters such as tilt shift, sketch, and comics, and an 8MP front camera.
Price
The 16GB, 3G-only version with NFC costs around CN ¥1,999 or $325 and CN¥2,499 or about $400 for the 4G variant. The 4G version is available in gold color, as well as in black and white.
