The Chinese rising tech giant was temporarily suspended by the Delhi High court from selling its devices in India early this month for infringing Ericsson (Telefonaktiebolaget LM) patents. All the alleged infringed products including several Xioami devices were pulled back from India.
After hearing Xiaomi's reply, that the company claims that it sold phones running on Qualcomm chipsets, not just Ericsson. It also added on its appeal that Qualcomm has licensed Ericsson's patents. The Delhi High court temporarily lifted the ban and allowed the company to continue its sales until January 08, 2015, but the court only allowed selected Xiaomi models housing Qualcomm Snapdragon devices.
Xiaomi's Vice President of International and former Googler, Hugo Barra, confirmed on his Facebook page that the Xiaomi Redmi 1S continues its flash sale on Flipkart.
Hugo Barra said in a post that Xiaomi's much- anticipated budget handset, the Redmi 1S, will go on sale on Flipkart on December 23 and pre -regristration was until midnight of December 22. He also mentioned that the 4G version of Xiaomi's phablet, the Redmi Note will also be launched soon, but there is no date of its release yet.
IB Times also added that the Redmi 4G, exclusive to Airtel subscribers only, will be released in selected cities that has already 4G-LTE network service later this month.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S flash sale kicks off December 23 at 2pm and to be eligible on the sale prospective buyers must have already pre-registered on Monday. The mid-range phone is priced at Rs 5,999. It features an 4.7-inch 720p HD IPS display; powered by a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and supported by 1GB of RAM; it sports an 8MP rear camera and runs on Android 4.3 with MIUI v5.
