Techland's upcoming horror survival game Dying Light nears its 2015 release date and developers have continued to tease fans with trailers and three downloadable content packs that will not make the wait any easier.
Recently, a 2-hour gameplay walkthrough trailer surfaced online, revealing the single player mode and the horde of zombies that will arrive come Dying Light's release date.
Dyling Light "is an action survival game presented in first-person perspective. The game is set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, you roam an urban environment devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help you defeat the hordes of mindless, flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. All night, the hunter becomes the prey as the infected grow in strength and aggression-but even more lethal are the nocturnal, inhuman predators that leave their nests to feed. You will need to make use of all your skills and any available means to survive till dawn."
In the almost-2-hour gameplay trailer, a walkthrough is shown during the day, where the zombies are almost looking-dormant, but not quite. There are panels and ledges that can be used in a zombie-infested street, and other booby traps and distractions for defensively navigating throughout the infected creatures. Other skills like lock-picking are also essential to accomplish missions like setting up UV lights to prepare for nightfall.
The gameplay trailer also reveals that during nighttime, it becomes more difficult to traverse through the streets and stealth becomes another indispensable skill to survive in Dying Light.
Meanwhile, Techland also announces that upon the Dying Light release date, there will be three add-on DLCs for fans. "Cuisine & Cargo" will be the first available DLC that will test both combat and stealth skills to survive missions that involve an infested building.
"Ultimate Survivor Bundle" DLC will follow that will unleash more than just new outfits but also essential survival tools such as blueprints and other new items.
The last DLC upon Dyling Light release date is "The Bozak Horde" that will bring players into a new and equally horrifying map that allows for both single player and co-op mode.
Dying Light release date is set on January 30, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. Watch the gameplay trailer here!
