Katie Holmes and Suri's Car in a Fender-Bender in New York

A car carrying Katie Holmes and her daughter, Suri Cruise, was hit by a garbage truck in New York on Monday night. No one was injured, according to multiple reports.

According an NYPD spokesman, at around 9:30 p.m. a black Mercedes driven by Holmes' chauffeur got into a minor fender-bender with a private sanitation truck on West 33rd Street and Sixth Avenue.

"Suri was crying in the car," says the source, who adds that Holmes, 33, was not driving, according to People. Once Holmes and her daughter were back home, a police report was filed.

Damage to the car appeared minimal, with some dents and scratches on the rear of the driver's side.

Holmes and Suri were reportedly on their way back from Suri's gymnastics class in Chelsea Piers, which is about 15 blocks from where the accident happened.

Holmes, 33, filed for divorce from husband Tom Cruise, 50, on June 28. Last week, lawyers for both stars announced a settlement had been reached. Details of the agreement were not disclosed, but reports have said the actress was granted primary custody of their daughter, with Cruise getting generous visitation rights.
