While Katie Holmes is trying to seek full custody from daughter Suri after her divorce from Tom Cruise last month, Cruise is still very much in contact with his youngest child, via video chatting said RadarOnline this week.
Since the divorce, Cruise has not been able to meet his daughter, as he has been filming his upcoming film, "Oblivion," in Iceland and California, and Suri has been living with Holmes in New York City for months now. Cruise's attorney said that the "Mission Impossible" star will be reconciling with his six-year-old daughter very soon, though.
"Tom will be seeing Suri very soon. I don't know exactly when that will be, and I couldn't tell you, but I do know it will be very soon. Tom loves his Suri very, very much, as he does his other two children. Tom is a family man and dedicated to his children. They are the center of his world," Cruise's lawyer Bertram Fields said last week, reported RadarOnline.
A source told RadarOnline that the video chatting will be very useful for communication with both parents and Suri, no matter what settlement will be made regarding custody of the child.
"It's all part of the divorce settlement that Tom be allowed to video chat with Suri. Likewise, when Suri is with Tom, Katie can video chat with her," a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.
"Tom and Katie were advised that this could be a very useful tool to help Suri with the adjustment of her parents getting divorced. Tom and Suri have been video chatting and Tom just lights up when her face appears on the computer screen. Tom and Suri also communicate on the telephone and there is no limit on the contact for either parent. If Suri wants to talk to Tom she will call him, with help of course," the source continued.
The source said that Cruise could see Suri as soon as this weekend. Holmes filed for divorce from Cruise on June 30, which his team said took him by great surprise.
