Rihanna led a "fashionable" and "funny" charity event called Diamond Ball at The Vineyard in Beverly Hills, California for Clara Lionel Foundation, a charity she founded in 2012 to honor her grandparents, by giving the proceeds to the charity which aims to improve the quality of life for global communities in the areas of health, education, arts and culture.
The "Diamonds" singer gathered together some A-listers to the Diamond Ball including Brad Pitt, Kim Kardashian, and Salma Hayek.
Ri-ri stood out in a dusty rose, off-shoulder, floor length gown and complementary necklace in a photo op along with reality star Kim Kardashian who showed her legs in an ensemble with a netted skirt.
The Diamond Ball, hosted by the late show host, Jimmy Kimmel, was filled with entertainment and joy as it he called Brad Pitt on stage to introduced Rihanna before her performance. After thanking Kimmel, calling him a "handsome, handsome man", Brad made some funny moments on stage; the actor says, "What the f**k went wrong?" when a cute mini Rihanna appeared on screen. He recounted how "The Jay Z" discovered her and "it was all downhill from there". The room was filled with emotions as Brad described Ri-ri as a "female phenom", "cultural icon", provocateur", and "advocate", and jokingly asked the audience when she was going to start doing something with her life after listing all her accomplishments-bunch of awards to her charitable efforts.
Hollywood stars like Big Sean, Kris Jenner, Adrienne Bailon, Ellen Pompeo, Nikki Reed, and Kat Graham were also spotted in the Diamond Ball. While Salma Hayek joins the party wearing an elegant gown which accentuated her tiny waist, with her husband François-Henri Pinault, the head of the company that owns Gucci, and Rihanna's boss.
Tyrese Gibson, the songstress' longtime pal, described how happy he is on the gala on twitter-"goooooooood energy, people." He also posted a photo with the Rihanna and wrote:
"It's true....... Diamonds are forever..... You made a statement tonight - #cheerslovey #Cancerfundrasier #Barbados #NewHeartBeatForTheWorld."
"When I first started putting this together, I just wanted it to be sincere and about the foundation and about giving back," Rihanna told ET's Sophie Schillaci on the red carpet. "But to see people wanting to jump in and support it, I can't tell you how happy I am."
Rihanna said of Pitt, "He's the one that loves charity."
"When I reached out to him, he was more than happy to do it. It's just a matter of giving back."
Rihanna delivered also a special performance backed by a live orchestra for the 600 person audience - a small group for someone used to selling out arenas.
