Will Jane and Rafael's love life finally take off now that (almost) every obstacle has been taking care of? Read the recap for "Jane The Virgin" midseason finale here!
Jane wants to take things slow with Rafael, after finding out how much he cares for her last episode. It's clear that they love each other but with Petra, Rafael's soon-to-be ex-wife throwing all kinds of curveballs there way, Jane is scared that their baby might be taken away from them.
Fighting for a legal claim on the baby, Petra sets up the platform for Rafael to give her more money for the divorce settlement. Jane doesn't want him to give her money though, and manages to convince him to let her work with Michael to trap the money-greedy woman into admitting her real intentions on record.
Although they fail to record her demands, Rafael picks up on something that Petra told Jane about her father in Germany. From there, they discover her fake identity.
The person she is running from, Milos, is actually Petra's ex-lover. She decided to take on Ivan's offer to disappear from the Czech Republic to get away from him.
They finally get the upper hand as they confront Petra about her shady past. However, this being the "Jane The Virgin" midseason finale, some more sinister things get revealed in this episode. Including Petra's mother's biggest secret.
Slightly drunk, Alba runs up to Petra's room to confront her but what she finds is Ivan the hostage. Before she can call for help, she's pushed off the emergency exit - by Petra's mother standing completely upright.
Just what is this woman hiding? Is she the real Sin Rostro? Or is she somewhat related to the criminal mastermind?
On the other hand, Michael also makes a huge accidental discovery!
He first suspects Rafael to be Sin Rostro since he knows that the mysterious criminal is closely connected to the hotel. With no proof, however, he goes back to searching the Serbian criminal's room for clues.
That's when he accidentally triggers the secret tunnel found under the tub.
According to past spoilers, Michael is getting closer and closer to finding out who Sin Rostro is.
This "Jane The Virgin" midseason finale was finally able to move the mystery side of story forward now that Jane and Rafael are finally together. The critically acclaimed series will return on January 19.
