Comic-Con is underway in San Diego where sneak peeks to exciting new movies and T.V. shows are being released.
One that has gotten a lot of attention and hype is tale of the Wizard in Sam Raimi's “Oz: The Great and Powerful”. The first teaser trailer for Raimi's prequel to his favorite movie of all time - 1939's "The Wizard of Oz" – was released. This is Raimi’s first movie after the "Spider-Man" trilogy.
“Oz: The Great and Powerful”” stars James Franco as a Kansas circus magician who gets blown into a fantastical land. This weird and wonderful land bears some resemblance to Tim Burton's magical world in 2010's "Alice in Wonderland" -. Franco’s character has to then reinvent himself as the famous wizard who will one day be huckstering Dorothy and her friends.
Mila Kunis stars as Theodor which is the future Wicked Witch of the West. The movie also stars Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz and will be released by Disney.
Since it’s the prequel to the “Wizard of Oz”, we won’t be seeing Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man or the Cowardly Lion. The famous novel was written by L. Frank Baum.
