Kathie Lee Gifford Said Bill Cosby Made A Pass At Her

| By

According to Kathie Lee Gifford, she has a hard time comprehending if the Bill Cosby she knows is the same person as the Bill Cosby who has been appearing in news over the last weeks. On the Today show just last Tuesday, December 16, co-host Hoda Kotb had brought up the subject of Camille Cosby's statement regarding her famous comedian husband, who has been accused by several women which included some supermodels named Janice Dickinson as well as Beverly Johnson of sexual assaulting them.

Camille, Cosby's wife described her husband as "a kind man, a generous man, a funny man, and a wonderful husband, father, and friend," 61-year-old Gifford, said. She continued, "He is kind, he is capable of great kindness, he's capable of great generosity...I, along with so many Americans and people worldwide, don't want these stories to be true."

However, she recalled her past experience while she was on tour with the comedian in the late 1970s. She also revealed that he had once made a pass at her. She added, "I will admit, toward the very, very end of the last time I saw him, he did try to kiss me. I said, 'No.' I said, 'Bill, we're friends.' He said, 'Okay, goodnight,' and I said, 'Goodnight.' And I went into my room, and he went into his room." She also continued to describe her shock on the allegations saying, "I'm not saying the women's allegations are not true. I'm just saying I never personally saw it with my own two eyes."

Gifford also noted that Bill would be making cappuccinos for them before and then she heard the news that Cosby had drugged someone over a cappuccino. She finally said, "But I'm not saying that the women are liars. From my own personal experience, it didn't happen. A lot of married men come onto single women, but once I said, 'No, absolutely not,' he respected it."
