Is our Scary Spice in trouble with her marriage?
There were already rumors that circulated around that the former Spice Girls singer Mel B (Melanie Brown), is actually a victim of domestic abuse from her husband Stephan Belafonte.
The former pop star had hinted at marital strife during her recent interview with the UK's Grazia magazine. According to reports, the 39-year-old singer hailed from Leeds, England, had arrived three hours late for the said interview because she had gotten into a heated argument with her beau. Mel Ba nd her husband has been together for seven years. The British singer said, "I walked in pissed off because I had a big row with my husband about stupid stuff. Sometimes he pisses me off like no other, but he gets me."
Last Sunday, December 14, rumors floated around that the singer had a marital strife when she appeared on the UK's X Factor finale with shocking bruises on her face and arms and without her wedding ring. The night before, Mel was not able to appear at the semi-finals due to an undisclosed illness. Her husband, Belafonte, who is a producer, shot down rumors of domestic abuse in Twitter and defend himself as he called the allegations "disgusting" and "untrue."
The next day The Sun had reported that Mel B had actually moved out of their London home. Previously, several sources had confirmed to Us magazine that luggage as well as boxes were being taken away from their home just this Monday, December 15.
Melanie Brown is a British recording artist, songwriter, dancer, actress, author, television presenter, talent competition judge and model. She rose to fame as a member of the girl group called the Spice Girls.
In February 2007, she began dating film producer Stephen Belafonte and secretly tied the knot on 6 June 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada. On 1 September 2011 Brown gave birth to her third child, and first with Belafonte, daughter Madison Brown Belafonte.
