We've been reporting about the upcoming Microsoft Lumia 1030 for quite some time now, but it's disappointing to note that the release of the Lumia 1020's successor won't happen anymore.
The Lumia 1030 codenamed 'Maclaren' was supposedly to be the first smartphone to sport a 50MP rear camera as many have speculated.
As series of photos leaked from different Chinese websites and claims that it's the Microsoft Lumia 1030, many had believed that it will be unveiled soon. It was anticipated to be launched fall of 2014.
But to end this Microsoft Lumia 1030 rumors swirling around.
Senior Verge Editor Tom Warren denied theese speculations.
In a post on Twitter, he said, "There is no Lumia 1030 right now. The leaked device is the canceled Nokia McLaren. It was never a 50-megapixel camera, just around 20MP."
Meanwhile, Microsoft Lumia 1030 rumors has it that the upcoming Lumia phone will sport a 5.8-inch touchscreen display featuring 1440 x 2560 Quad HD pixel resolution.
It was also expected to boast a 50MP or 41- megapixel PureView camera featuring LED and Xenon flashes, while its secondary front-facing camera is an 8.7-megapixel and will be powered by a Snapdragon 805 processor. It will be supported by a 3GB of RAM.
It is also reported that it will offer a 32GB and 64Gb variant and expandable memory of up to 128GB via microsd.
Christian Today also mentioned in a report that, "The canceled Nokia McLaren was under development for quite a while before it was leaked. However, the company reportedly decided to abruptly stop its development and cancel the product for no apparent reason.
Lumia fans, need not to fret as Microsoft will surely give us something at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.
