Harry Potter star Emma Watson and 22-year-old rugby player at Oxford University Matthew Janney break up a month ago according to reports due to the 24-year-old actress' intense busy work schedule leaving her a little time to focus on the relationship.
This was confirmed by the actress' spokesperson to the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye, adding that things are still "amicable" between the pair.
Even though, Emma and Matthew's guardian Coralie Day piled praise on the actress and student.
"We are thrilled to bits that he is seeing Emma Watson," she told Britain's Evening Standard. "We are looking forward to meeting her soon.
"Hats off to her for finding such a wonderful young man. There is nothing bad anyone could say about Matt. He is absolutely lovely."
The two started dating each other at the end of 2013. Though despite claims, the publication reported that Emma and Matthew had not moved in together.
Furthermore, on other interviews, the British star also shared some experiences while pursuing her study at Brown University while admitting that she found it challenging going to a university where everyone is scrutinizing her.
"On the first day, I walked into the canteen and everyone went completely silent and turned to look at me," she told The Sunday Times in March. "I had to say to myself, 'It's okay, you can do this. You just have to take a deep breath and gather your courage.'"
Being determined to finish her education off properly, after taking a year off on 2011, Emma successfully get her diploma in May, five years after starting as a freshman.
Emma has just finished filming Regression alongside Ethan Hawke, and is now shooting Colonia Dignidad with Daniel Brühl. After that, she will then move on to filming La La Land, a film about a jazz musician who falls in love with a blossoming actress, with Miles Teller.
