After the hacking incident to Sony, which reveals private information including Social Security numbers of 47,000 employees and celebrities associated with the company, their aliases and private emails, Angelina Jolie, one of the stars whose name has been mentioned along the issue, has face to face with Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment at Hollywood Reporter's annual Women in Entertainment.
The 39-year-old director was reported to attend the event that honors the 100 most powerful women in the business, where she greeted Pascal among others.
Pascal and Jolie had been in the news when Sony's co-chairman's email leaked on the Internet by hackers named #GOP (Guardians of Peace). The email contains an exchange of messages between Pascal and producer Scott Rudin, which was reported by Gawker on Tuesday. In the message, Rudin called Jolie a "minimally talented spoiled brat" because of her demands during a remake of the movie "Cleopatra".
But up to now, actress Angelina Jolie has not responded yet publicly to the statements since the email exchange was revealed.
In other news, the mother of six did not make it on the event for her second film as director, "Unbroken", because had chicken pox.
"I just want to be clear and honest why I will be missing the 'Unbroken' events in the next few days, which is that I found out last night that I have chicken pox," Jolie said in a 39-second video released by Universal Pictures on YouTube.
"So I will be home, itching and missing everyone and I can't believe it because this film means so much to me. I just can't believe it, but such is life," said the wife of Brad Pitt as she waves her hands and says goodbye.
Unbroken is a World War Two drama that harrows the survival story of prisoner of war and Olympic runner Louis Zamperini, whom is also known to be close to the actress. The movie is scheduled to have its U.S. premiere in Los Angeles on Monday and will be release on theaters on December 25.
