When Jane finally tells Rafael about her virginity and her vow to stay that way until marriage, she knew her new boyfriend won't exactly take it well. She doesn't expect him to sleep with another woman right away, though. Read on to find out what happened in "Jane The Virgin" season 1 chapter 8!
After two weeks of chasing Luisa all over Mexico but getting nowhere, Rafael eventually accepts that he would be losing his shares of the hotel if Jane would receive a default ruling.
Jane can actually drop the lawsuit to save him but the reformed playboy decides not to tell Jane about his involvement with the whole thing.
As he thinks about the situation back at the hotel, a random woman chats him up and hands him a drink, which of course is roofied. By the next morning, Jane ends up seeing them together and not believing that Rafael couldn't remember anything that happened to him.
Thankfully, the girl is one of Jane's "disciples" and, ridden by guilt, confesses that she was just paid to "sleep" with Rafael.
And the culprit? It's Petra, of course.
Finding out the truth doesn't stop Jane from deciding to cool things off with the father of her baby.
In the meantime, when she realizes how her lawsuit is making her abuela so nervous, she decides to drop the charges. It is only then that Rafael tells her about his whole involvement in the case.
He promises to work harder both for his rightful place in the hotel and for Jane.
Remembering Alba's story about her grandfather leaving his wealthy family to marry the love of his life, she finally realizes how strongly Rafael's feelings for her actually were.
Meanwhile, Jane and Rafael aren't the only couple making some progress in "Jane The Virgin" season 1 episode eight.
Xiomara finds herself too attracted to Rogelio with sparks literally flying whenever they touch each other. She decides to stop dating Marco and gives Rogelio another chance to get close to her again. Will he finally be serious in pursuing her this time?
