Is "The Godfather" legend Al Pacino gearing up for a "Guardians Of The Galaxy" sequel appearance?
According to his "Happy Sad Confused" podcast with Josh Horowitz, the Oscar Award winning actor confirmed that he has already been talking to Kevin Feige, Marvel Studio's president regarding a possible role in one of the company's upcoming films.
"I've met with the Marvel guy," the 74-year-old actor revealed to Horowitz. "It's a marvel how things happen"
"I would imagine that either there's something he feels is right for me-" he started to add but a phone ringing made him joke that it was Marvel Studios telling him to quit talking already.
Although he praised the movies production and ingenuity as "inventive, funny, strong," Al Pacino won't be in the "Guardians Of The Galaxy" sequel.
"Why wouldn't I like a movie like that, appreciate a movie like that? I'm not necessarily going to be in it, but there's value to it," he shared.
He also kept quiet about the role Feige felt "right" for him, but he could be taking on a character from any of the nine comic book adaptations that the studio is ambitiously aiming to release from 2015 to 2019.
Marvel's future films include "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" and "Ant-Man" for 2015, "Captain America: Civil War" and "Doctor Strange" for 2016; "Guardians Of The Galaxy 2," "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Black Panther" for 2017; "Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1," "Captain Marvel" and "Inhumans" for 2018; and "Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2" for 2019.
Ant-Man will be brought to life by Paul Rudd. "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch was just recently confirmed to play Doctor Strange, as well. Meanwhile, Marvel will have its first African-American hero with "Black Panther" which will be played by Chadwick Boseman. Casting for Captain Marvel or Carol Danvers, on the other hand, is yet to announced.
Would Al Pacino fit in the "Guardians of Galaxy" sequel? If he won't be interacting with Groot anytime soon, which character would he be perfect to play in the list of Marvel movies?
