Listen up fans of the hit action adventure game! Konami and Hideo Kojima recently unveiled "Metal Gear Solid 5" trailer and the first look announced "The Phantom Pain" online multiplayer mode called "Metal Gear Online."
The announcement, made during the Game Awards 2014, was done with a four-minute gameplay teaser that showed two teams battling against each other on a large open map. The characters featured used stealth, gadgets and a plush toy of DD.
Produced and developed by Konami and co-written and co-produced by Hide Kojima, "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" is a much anticipated upcoming open world action-adventure stealth video game. It has not been a surprise that the unveiling was done during the Game Awards as the event was produced by Geoff Keighley who is connected with Kojima.
Game buffs also praised the short teaser and expects a blast from the video game which looked stunning. To create more buzz, more story details of "Metal Gear Solid 5" is now posted in its official website.
The new update for "The Phantom Pain" states, "The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan has brought a new edge to the Cold War, and in 1984, a one-eyed man with a prosthetic arm appears in the country." The one-eyed man is called Snake who is a legendary mercenary.
Snake was left in coma and when he woke up he is with his old friend Ocelot. "Now, Snake's former partner Kazuhira Miller is being held by the Soviet forces in Afghanistan. Snake must undertake a solo mission to rescue Miller and prove to the world that the legendary mercenary is not dead and gone."
In terms of "Metal Gear Solid 5's" release date, the game's creator, Kojima, seemingly gave a hint to the game's fans with his T-shirt that has the words "tjugoandra den sjätte". The printed words are Swedish term that means "twenty-second and sixth".
This fueled rumors that "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" will be released on June 22, 2015. No confirmation has been made yet so you better stay vigilant.
