First thing's first-release date. Techland has set a solid and obviously nearing January 27, 2015 launch for Dying Light versions of PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox in North America, and three days later for Europe. With the original release date set in February 2015 and moved a month earlier, there is no stopping the arrival of the highly anticipated video game and fans worldwide are nothing but excited.
Recently, Techland unveiled a Dying Light trailer this time does not exhibit the gameplay but the story-ridden post apocalyptic plot.
The narration of the introduction trailer reveals: "The eyes of the world have been glued to the city of Harran for the past two months following the outbreak of a previously unknown pathogen. It is not yet clear what has caused this gruesome affliction. The local government's Ministry of Defense have quarantined most shortly after the outbreak. The global relief efforts and steady stream of supply drops has sustained the few survivors that remain in the city. The Ministry of Defense believes more radical action should be taken to stem the tide of this virus. The question is: are there still non-infected survivors in the city? And if so, will the Ministry still go through with the stated plan to annihilate the city, in an attempt to wipe-out the Harran virus once and for all. Whether by way of the virus or the Ministry's plan, one thing is certain: Harran's days are numbered."
In a recent interview with HardCoreGamer, Dying Light producer Tymon Smektała shares about the story of the upcoming survival action video game. He says, "The whole Dying Light project is the most ambitious project we've ever done at Techand, so we knew from the start that we want to cover all bases. And story was definitely one of the bases that we wanted to cover."
Meanwhile, Dying Light gameplay is shown to have an impeccable parkour system that allows your character to navigate and escape the "extremely dangerous" and not to mention hordes of zombies that will come your way.
