The creator of the massive multiplayer online video game Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade has only unleashed a vague Q4 2015 release date, however it has unveiled in-depth information about the gameplay, features, trailer and other details of the third-person shooter game, making it among the highly anticipated games of 2015.
Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is being developed by Behaviour Interactive who is known for their work in 2D and 3D adventure games for a wide variety of consoles. They are known for video games including Bugs Bunny: Lost n Time, Tetris, Rango: The Video Game, Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. Now, Behaviour Interactive focuses its undivided attention to Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade to meet the 2015 release date.
According to Behaviour Interactive's official site, Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade "is a 3rd-person Massive Combat RPG. Players select one of the factions of the 41st millennium and fight other players for control of an open, persistent world. As they hack their way through content, players claim territory in massive battles and earn the right to customize and improve their characters in a deep progression system drawn from Warhammer 40,000 lore."
The creators define Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade gameplay as "fully action-based - you shoot or swing with a button but whether you pull off a headshot or block that incoming chainsword is entirely based on your skill. In addition, gamepads are fully supported. Both ranged and melee weapons have equal emphasis - as in the iconic battles of Warhammer 40,000. Combat begins at a distance with guns and heavy vehicle-mounted weaponry before progressing to bloody blade-on-blade action with brutal executions."
While no other gameplay information is made available for fans, the Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade release date remains on a "late 2015," according to the developers. Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is currently being developed for PC and Mac, and will soon be on SteamOS.
