The wildly unforgettable adventure game of Square Enix and Disney Interactive Studios is one of the highly talked-about games online and speculations keep coming. While the release date has yet to be announced for Kingdom Hearts 3, will new characters from the Marvel and Star Wars universe join Sora and the gang in this upcoming RPG?
Official information on the development of Kingdom Hearts 3 is admittedly scarce. Considering the "most recent" news on the video game's official site still remains to be the announcement trailer unleashed way back in 2013, it seems like what we're all going to keep hearing are speculations and rumors.
However, in a recent interview with Kotaku UK, Kingdom Hearts 3 co-director Tai Yasue reportedly reveals that new characters from the Marvel and Star Wars Universe are said to be addition to the growing Kingdom Hearts 3 line-up.
According to the report in BleedingCool, Yasue was asked if Marvel and Star Wars characters were among the many inclusions in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3. He says, "Well, yeah. They're all under consideration. Nothing's off-limits, we're considering all of the worlds. There are so many wonderful concepts. We're happy about that, but at the same time it's really tough to choose."
While his reply seems a solid "yes" to Marvel and Star Wars characters upon the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date, numerous reports online have now claimed that indeed Marvel and Star Wars characters will be in the video game. Again, this is not official.
Although the co-director may have indicated the possibility, nothing has yet been finalized on character list save for the heroes Sora, Riku and Kairi and of course Donald and Goofy.
The release date of Kingdom Hearts 3 is another unofficially announced matter as most found online remain speculations. Although some speculate that Kingdom Hearts 3 release date will come at the earliest by late 2015, fans continue to hope that at least we'll hear a solid and official release date by end of this year. If not, at least fans all over the world know for a fact that Kingdom Hearts 3 is definitely in development, and the creators are making sure that the games sees the light of day on PS4 and Xbox One soon.
