Monica Belluci, The Oldest Bond Girl, Never Really Wanted To Become Famous And Once Feel Ashamed

At 50 years old, Monica Bellucci has become the oldest Bond girl. The Italian actress was recently announced as one of three women that will beef up the upcoming James Bond film that will star Daniel Craig as the smooth Agent 007. The new Bond movie, to be called Spectre, will also feature Christopher Waltz as Franz Oberhauser, the film's principal villain, Lea Seydoux, Dave Batista, and Ralph Fiennes.

Monica Belluci may be one of the most intriguing Bond girl but she has treated fans with her timeless beauty in many films before. She is known for her role in French film The Apartment, the controversial film Irreversible, and Shoot 'Em Up where she co-starred with Clive Owen. Monica is definitely an eye-magnet but she could have not graced the big screen if she was not convinced by family and friends because she was reluctant to step on the entertainment industry when she was still young.

Before being selected as one of new James Bond movie eye candy or became an actress and model, she was just a simple girl from the provincial town of Città di Castello in Umbria, Italy. She was first discovered by hairdresser Piero Montanucci who had all the trust in her even before she wore fancy dresses and make up. According to Piero, Monica Bellucci was reluctant in trying in glamour industry because she wants to finish her studies first.

'She didn't want to become famous -she always said she wanted to study 'and then we'll see'. Everything just happened to her. She did everything slowly, little by little. That's why her career has lasted. That's why she's still at star at 50 years old.,' He said according to a post by the Daily Mail UK.

Monica Bellucci's father also shared that new James Bond movie actress once feel ashamed that people always look at her, making it impossible for her to go in a room full of people.

'All the other kids would go and hang around in the piazza after school, as teenagers do. But Monica would hide away, taking a detour through the backstreets and then coming straight home.

'One day I asked her why she didn't want to be in the square with the others and she said: "When I go in the piazza everyone looks at me. The men look at me. The women look at me. All the kids from school. I feel ashamed".'
