Notable fresh grill and wine bar chain Seasons 52 announced that they will be opening their first Alabama restaurant in the capital city of Birmingham in spring 2013, located at The Summit.
The store, when it opens, will create around 100 new jobs for people in Birmingham, said a press release issued by Seasons 52 on Wednesday. It would be the 24th store for the chain, and the 14th state in the nation to host a Seasons 52 restaurant, noted the press release.
"We are excited to bring Seasons 52 to Birmingham. This is an ideal setting for our guests - people who celebrate living well while enjoying upscale dining, shopping and entertainment," Stephen Judge, president of Seasons 52, stated for the press release.
The menus are for the store, which is named for the four annual seasons and 52 weeks of the year, change four times annually, said the press release. Various food items available from season to season include the Steak and Cremini Mushroom Flatbread, Cedar Plank Salmon, Caramelized Sea Scallops and Maui Tuna Crunch Salad, and none of them surpass 475 calories, noted the press release. Other foods available include an array of appetizers, flatbreads, and mini desserts.
Over 100 wines, chosen by Seasons 52's Master Sommelier George Miliotes, are offered at the restaurants around the country, including several organic ones, said the press release, and Miliotes' selection of "Drink Them Before They're Famous" liquors.
"The addition of Seasons 52 will provide shoppers with a unique, new dining experience that fits in perfectly with the exciting retail environment here at The Summit," Jeffrey Bayer, CEO of Bayer Properties, was quoted as stating for the press release. "Birmingham is a great place to live and work and I believe that Seasons 52 promotes the same positive lifestyle benefits that are valued in the region."
