Looks like there's a new love interest at play. Apparently, John Stamos is quite smitten with our lovely commedienne Amy Poehler like everyone is.
A month after Amy had mentioned to Howard Stern that she and her friend Stamos once went on what she thought might have been a "date", the dashing guy had now confirmed that he actually considered it a romantic getaway. 51-year-old Stamos said to Extra, "I guess [Amy] didn't know it was a date. I asked her out on a date... and we had a really nice time. Then I hear she thought it wasn't a date. It was a date in my eyes."
43-year-old Poehler has usually been secretive about her dating life as well as her personal life. But Howard Stern was really good in fishing out some details from her. The "maybe date" with Stamos that had occurred after her spliet with with her husband of nine years, Will Arnett back in September 2012.
The Parks and Recreation star admitted, "It was new and weird. I hadn't dated when there was texting. I got married in 2003 and all of a sudden I'm like, 'Oh, right now you text somebody.' That was new. There were times when I was out with guys and I was like, 'Oh, I think I might be on a date, but I don't know," she revealed. "I remember I was at dinner with John Stamos. I think if you just are around him you are... handsome men are really something else. First of all, they're so handsome. And John is..."
Stern cut in on Amy with excitement, "Ridiculously handsome?"
"I was at a restaurant," Amy continued to narrate. "We were having dinner and I was like, 'Oh, maybe this is a date!' But I didn't know. But I kinda blew it. I can't believe I'm telling this story, but it's Howard Stern, so there you go. We worked on a movie [2014's They Came Together]. He did a little bit in a movie that I did and a bunch of us hung out. And then later on he's like, 'Let's go get dinner.' And it was fine," the Saturday Night Live alum said. "I remember thinking like, 'Oh, s--t. Like, if this is really a date...' I think I was wearing a Leslie Knope top. I think I was wearing a shirt from work. I wasn't foxy."
