Finally, the most anticipated Xiaomi Mi4 FDD- LTE variant release date has been confirmed to be on the 16th of December.
As we can note the original Xiaomi Mi4 according to GSM Arena has been equipped with FDD-LTE support, but doesn't work outside China. With the new modem it will still work on China Unicom and international 4G networks.
GSM Arena added that the, "Initially only the white 16GB OF Xiaomi Mi 4 will be available for a price tag of CNY 1,999 or about $320. The 64GB black FDD-LTE version still has no official release date or price announced."
Though this is another variant of the affordable high-end phone Xiaomi i4, it still carries the same specs and features of the original Xiaomi Mi4.
The Xiaomi Mi4 FDD-LTE still sports the same 5-inch Full HD display with a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution.
It houses a powerful processor that runs in a clocked speed of 2.5 GHZ quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and a 3GB of RAM which is a gig higher than of its predecessor. The Mi4 can also be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop as Xiaomi is slowly taking its steps in rolling out the update on its devices.
It features a 13MP Sony Exmor IMX214 rear-facing camera on Xiaomi Mi4, and 8MP Sony Exmor IMX219 front camera for a better selfie snapper.
Furthermore, Xiaomi Mi4 lack an NFC feature that can be found in the Xiaomi Mi4.
As per IBTime according to GizChina's report," only 1% of global customers use NFC, therefore Xiaomi dropped the support for NFC in its flagship Mi4."
