Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Release Date: New Budget Phone Now Official In India Priced At Approximately $151; Check Out Its Design, Specs And Features

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime release date: the new budget phone from Korean tech giant is now available in India.

Samsung has launched another low-cost phone for the mass market in addition to its newest flaghsips.

The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime with the model number SM-G360 has been listed on India's market sites Amazon and eBay. It was set for an affordable price of 9,700 Rs or approximately $151 USD.

According to GSM Arena, the Galaxy Core Prime sports a 4.5-inch LCD display, and a WVGA screen resolution of 480 × 800 pixels with a pixel density of 207 ppi.

Under the hood, the phone houses a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 and Cortex-A53 processor, clocked speed at 1.2 GHz and supported by a 1GB of RAM. It is equipped with an 8GB of internal storage and expandable memory of up to 64GB via a microSD. It runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and Samsung's Touch Wiz.

Though a low-cost phone it features a 5 MP rear-facing camera with LED Flash and autofocus, and a 2 MP front snapper.

The Galaxy Core Prime supports dual-sim capabilities and micro-sim.

Its connectivity features include; Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, HSPA+, NFC and 4G LTE. Lastly, the handset is backed by a good Li-Ion 2,000 mAh battery unit.

It is interestingly to note that, "It also boasts of 2,000mAh battery with ultra-power saving feature, where in the device can run for 1.2 days straight with just 10% power under stand-by mode," IB times said in a report.

IB Times also added that, "As of now, the new Galaxy Core Prime is currently listed at the company's official Samsung India e-Store for ₹9,700, but the sale of the device is yet to take off. Details regarding the availability are expected to be announced by the company soon."
