Design and Screen
Motorola Droid Turbo is the successor of the Moto X, but they don't share the same design.
Motorola Droid Turbo carries a rugged design and pulls off a metal chassis in black and red or woven fiber on the with a 5.2inch Gorilla Glass 3 screen with h an AMOLED display of 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and a 565 ppi density.
Meanwhile, the Moto X that was launched at the IFA boasts a minimalist design that looks like a smalle version of the Nexus 6. It's back cover can be customized in different hues available on Moto Maker website.
Like the Droid Turbo it sports a 5.2inch screen but features a lower resolution 1,080 x 1,920 pixels.
Hardware and OS
Droid Turbo is powered with a 2.7GHz quad- core Snapdragon 805 running the show supported by a 3GB of RAM with Adreno 420 GPU. It offers an internal storage of 32GB and 64GB.
While, the Moto X has the Snapdragon 801 CPU and an Adreno 330 GPU. It is supported by a 2 GB of RAM, and an internal storage of 16GB or 32GB, and both phones do not support a microSD expansion.
Both phones will receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
Camera
The Droid Turbo sports a 20.7MP camera that according to an Engadget review it is good for low light and outdoor shots. It also sports a 2.1MP front camera,.not bad for a selfie snapper.
Load The Game noted that, "The Moto X camera is a bit inferior, measuring 13 MP on the rear with a ring dual LED flash and 2 MP on the front."
"Even though the Moto X takes great photos regardless of lighting conditions, the Droid Turbo is superior in definition and quality, as well as response time, which comes naturally with the superior CPU and camera put together. Nonetheless, if you're not big on smartphone photography, the Moto X should do just fine for you."
Battery
The Droid Turbo may have stepped it a notch on its battery life among Apple and Android phones. It is backed up by a 3900 mAh that Motorola claims that it can last up to 48 hours. Motorola also noted that it features fast charging capabilities that a 15 minute battery charge allows userup to 8 hours usage.
The Moto X has a 2300 mAh battery capacity. According to a battery test from Business News Daily. It can last up to 7 hours and 30 minutes, which involves continuous Web browsing via Verizon's 4G network.
Price
The Droid Turbo is a Verizon exclusive that's available and the Moto X costs around $300.
