Lenovo Lemon Smartphone Vs. Xiaomi Redmi 1S: Both Targeting The Online Market!

Lenovo made a smart move in launching their newest smartphone-Music Lemon K3-in China to most likely compete against Xiaomi's Redmi 1S. And as the names says, the phone is coated with a bright "yellow" color, which in China, is a color associated with royalty, and symbolyzes a higher social status when it comes to products.

Lenovo's Lemon smartphone was put up on sale excluxively on JD, one of China's largest online retailers, that worth only CNY599 or aroud $97, though, according to Digital Trends, it costs around $100 or so without a carrier contract.

The Music Lemon K3 comes with a 5-inch IPS touchscreen, 1280x720 pixel screen, sports a 1.2Ghz, 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor from Qualcomm, and has 1GB of memory plus 16GB of internal storage.

The Lemon features an 8-megapixel, rear-facing camera, with a 2-megapixel shooter on the front. The smartphone comes with dual-SIM slots and supports 4G LTE connectivity in China. It also has a Waves MaxxAudio sound tech, a card slot and has a 2300mAh battery.

On the other hand, its competition Redmi 1S, which is also up for sale only online, comes with a 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that could be expanded up to 32GB. It has a 4.7-inch HD display, 720x1280 pixel screen, an 8mp rear camera and a 1.6mp front camera.

Xiaomi has only been on the business for three years and rose quickly through the ranks as one of the prominent electroncs company. And according to NDTV's report, Lenovo claimed that they had plans to compete against Xiaomi next year.

The Music Lemon K3 can be ordered by Chinese consumers via JD.com.

Consumers outside of China still has to wait for updates if they want to get their hands on one. Though Digital Trends reported that Lenovo may bring the device to other regions.

Moreover, Lenovo has plans to create a new company and a new mobile brand that will be officially launched on April 2015 and will focus mainly on selling their mobile phones online.
