Uh oh! Is there a rift between Batman and another Batman? Looks like a Batfight!
But no worries, looks like it's just a misunderstanding between two Batboys.
Apparently, The Dark Knight star Christian Bale clarified the comments he made in the WSJ magazine when he advised the hunky actor George Clooney to "stop whining" about being targeted by the media. According to 40-year-old Bale, he told E! News just this Sunday that, "I was scratching my head when I heard that. I said, 'When on earth would I had said that?'"
In the cover story, Bale had supposedly slammed the 53-year-old Oscar winner as he called the latter's complaints "boring." Bale continued, "It doesn't matter that the talks about it. It's like, 'Come on, guys, just shut up. Just get on with it and live your lives and stop whining about it.' I prefer not to whine about it."
Bale gently clarified himself on his thoughts on Clooney, saying, "I've got immense respect for him and I can't even begin to imagine the invasion of privacy. Our lives don't even being to compare. He's a true movie star. I'm just somebody who was lucky to get a job." Good job, bale! It's good to keep your Batman friends at your side.
It seems like Bale was a victim of a media play which twisted his words a bit just to create a story. Of course, if not clarified, might lead to a misunderstanding between the two seasoned actors. The Exodus: Gods and Kings added, "So, yeah, it was possibly just a well-intentioned edit," he added. "But certainly, I never meant any disrespect whatsoever."
Christian Bale played the role of Batman three times in Christopher Nolan's Batman series: Batman Begins in 2005, The Dark Knight in 2008 and The Dark Knight Rises in 2012.
