Transportation company Uber, which has witnessed substantial international growth, may have a roadblock ahead of themselves.
The governments of Thailand and Spain have released statements mentioning the company is illegally operating in their countries.
"Uber respects the Department of Land Transportation and its important role as the key regulator on vehicle-for-hire transport in Thailand," Uber spokeswoman Karus Arya said, according to CNET.
"We look forward to continued conversations with the DLT to bring our innovative transportation solutions within the appropriate regulatory framework in Thailand."
In the case of Thailand, the government has been critical of the types of cars used that deliver people from place to place. The company has been using private cars rather than licensed taxis, as the country's government requires.
As for Spain, unofficial authorization and unfair competition has been the premises for its ban-a Spanish judge made a ruling ending all operations in the country, CNET also reports.
A number of other governments, including India, have been critical of the company.
