Russian manufacturer Yota Devices initially introduced its two-sided smartphone last December after more than four years of its development process, first offering the Android-based device across Europe and the Middle East early this year.
The first YotaPhone prototype was shown in September 2010 to then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
"YotaPhone isn't just a new phone, it's a new way for people to communicate and use information. We are a startup company that had a big idea and we've executed on that idea," CEO Vlad Martynov said last year.
