Blackberry Classic Q20 release date has been set on December 17.
Blackberry fans who wanted to be the first to get their hands on the device can now pre-order the fourth Blackberry's flagship ahead of its release date. Pre-registration forms available in Canada, U.S. U.K, and Germany only for $449 off-contract.
Buyers in the U.S must note before pre-ordering that the Blackberry Classic Q20 only supports GSM carriers, GSM Arena said in a report. IB Times also added that " it will not work under Verizon, Sprint and US Cellular network."
The Blackberry Classic brings back the classic feel of Blackberry devices with its physical QWERTY keyboard and an attempt to bring back the company to its trademark as a business phone.
The upcoming Blackberry Classic will feature a screen of 3.5inch LTPS TFT display with a 720 x 720 pixel resolution and 294ppi. It will also sports a track pad and a row of physical buttons that include Send, End, Menu and Back , and a traditional 35-key backlit physical keyboard. Its dimensions are 131 x 72.5 x 10.2mm and it weighs at 178g.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 chipset with dual-core Krait architecture at 1.5GHz and 2GB of memory, and 16GB of in-built storage with microSD support of up to 128GB
It will sport an 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video, supported by ab auto-focus and an LED flash, and a 2- megapixel front camera.
Other features include NFC, a 2515mAh battery, wireless charging support on selected models, and noise canceling microphones.
The upcoming BB's flagship is said to run on the latest BB 10 OS.
As part of the Blackberry Classic Q20 release date. Gospel Herald noted that. "the company is offering a unique way to participate by setting up a mosaic of the phone comprised entirely of images and tweets that feature the hashtag #INeedMyBB and #BlackBerryClassic."
"As the image comes together in anticipation of launch, you can add yourself or search for your own message right on the mosaic's website."
Meanwhile, the Blackberry Passport Trade Up program is still ongoing until February 13. The trade up program allows iPhone users to trade in any model of iPhone from 4s to iPhone 6. Users will not only get a new Blackberry Passport, they may also get up to $550 of rebate.
The trade-in value depend on the iPhone the customer is trading. The iPhone 4S worth up to $90 and the iPhone 6 worth up to $400.All traded iPhone must be in good and working condition, with every iPhone traded up Blackberry tops it with additional $150.
