Lady Gaga news revealed how the "Born This Way" singer recently confessed her rape history, saying she was "very naïve".
According to the Cosmopolitan report that narrated Lady Gaga's rape ordeal, the 28-year-old recalled how she was only 19 when she was taken advantage of by someone 20 years older than her.
Initially hesitant to open up during her interview with Howard Stern, Lady Gaga started by confessing: "(I) went through some horrific things when I was very young."
The pop star continued; "I'm able to laugh (at them) now, because I've gone through a lot of mental and physical therapy and emotional therapy to heal over the years.
Lady Gaga then detailed the rape incident: "To be fair, I was about 19. I went to Catholic school and then all this crazy stuff happened, and I was going, 'Oh, is this just the way adults are?'"
She said: "I was very naïve."
While Lady Gaga did not reveal the person behind her rape, she revealed that the man was 20 years older than her. "I think it would terrify me. It would paralize me," she said about confronting her rapist.
"I saw him one time in a store and I was so paralized by fear," she narrated. "Because it wasn't until I was a little bit older that I went, 'Wow, that was really messed up.'"
The controversial singer shared, reported by Cosmopolitan: "I don't know what I was thinking. I didn't tell anybody."
"I didn't even tell myself for the longest time," she expressed, narrating details about how she eventually got into drinking after the rape incident.
Lady Gaga then revealed how she decided to help herself recover from her rape trauma. She explained: "I was like, 'You know what? All this drinking and all this nonsense, you have to go to the source, otherwise it just won't go away... It will not go away."
