Uh oh! Wifey calls out her husband for exaggerating his condition.
Apparently, after 12 years of marriage, Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Sarah Michelle Gellar has no problem calling out her husband and former co-star Freddie Prinze Jr. on exaggerating his story to the public. The 38-year-old I Know What You Did Last Summer actor had recently posted several pictures of himself pre-and-post-surgery wearing a thick neck cast with dramatic captions like "learning to walk again" after he had a spinal procedure done.
However, at the 4th Annual Santa's Secret Workshop at the Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood, his 37-year-old wife Gellar had set the record straight on her husband's real condition. When she was asked how the father of her two kids is coping up, she quipped, "You mean (in a very sarcastic tone) 'learning how to walk'?! I can't even," she said while laughing. "I'm not joking. Our mailwoman - god bless her heart - was like, 'I prayed for you Freddie and it worked, you're walking'. He's fine. He did have very serious surgery, there's no question, but his 'learning how to walk again' has been greatly exaggerated."
The couple got married in September 2002 and they have a daughter, 5-year-old Charlotte and a 2-year-old son named Rocky. Gellar also shared with Us Weekly that her kids are enjoing the festive season since they're a bit older now.
She admitted, "They're getting to the age where they understand the holidays [aren't] just about getting presents, that it's so much about giving back and being appreciative for what they can do. We packed up food for SOVA this year, and it made them understand that not all kids have Thanksgiving food. So it's been really special for me this year to merge my traditions which is gift giving and experiencing the holidays but also giving back."
