This version of Facebook will be named as 'Facebook at Work'. Mark Zuckerberg is planning to release this version to compete with LinkedIn. A close source of Facebook, Financial Times reported on November 17 that Facebook Authority secretly going to continue working on the site 'Facebook at Work'.

"At first blush, it seems that Facebook is following the lead of Google and moving from a pure consumer play into the enterprise," said Forrester analyst Rob Koplowitz.

"We really don't know how far they intend to go."

What types of advantages would site 'Facebook at Work' offer? This would allow users to chat with colleagues, connect with professional contacts and collaborate over documents, according to Financial Times.
California-based Facebook last month reported its quarterly profit nearly doubled to $802 million (640 million euros) but saw its stock pounded after outlining a plan to invest heavily in the future instead of reveling in short-term riches.

The site has been looking to increase its offerings, introducing an application that lets people chat anonymously in virtual "rooms," inducing the chat rooms from the early days of the Internet.
