Singer Demi Lovato has been announced as the host of the 2012 Teen Choice Awards. The full list of nominees can be found here.
The former Disney star and current U.S. 'X Factor' judge is not only hosting the awards show, but is nominated in four categories as well, including "Choice Summer Song" and "Choice Love Song," said a press release issued by Teen Choice Awards this week for her song "Give Your Heart a Break." The awards will air on FOX network in the U.S. on July 22.
''It's really hard for me to smile if they're performing and they're horrible. I have to be super super honest and sometimes I feel bad about it,'' Lovato said recently on having to be a judge for X Factor.
Other notable names nominated for the 2012 Teen Choice Awards include Katy Perry, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Carly Rae Jepsen, who will take on Lovator in the Summer Music Star prize category, said the press release and nominations list announcement.
Singer Justin Bieber is also up against Lovato in the Choice Twit award. Celebrities currently confirmed to attend the ceremony include No Doubt, with singer Gwen Stefani, and Flo Rida, as well as a special appearance by "So You Think You Can Dance" host Cat Deeley, noted the press release.
The hosting gig for the 2012 is the latest in Lovato's busy summer schedule, as she is currently on her North American tour, which ends on Labor Day weekend on September 1. She is also judging another season of America's "X Factor" with fellow singer Britney Spears.
