Is Taylor Swift giving up on love entirely? According to the pop-country singer, she is now choosing intentionally to fly solo. In a recent interview with Billboard, in a new Woman of the Year cover story about her being independent, she said, "I don't have anyone whose feelings are on the line except for me." She continued, "If I was in love with someone right now, I don't know how I would handle everyone else weighing in on our stories, because when you're in a relationship there are a lot of secrets and a lot of sacred moments that you don't want to divulge."
Swift had many relationships in the past, and many of them are high profile like One Direction's harry Styles who she went out with in October 2012 and broke up in January 20. The blonde-haired singer-songwriter also dated Conor Kennedy, Your Body is a Wonderland singer John Meyer, Twilight actor Taylor Lautner, and Prince of Persia actor Jake Gyllenhaal.
In the past few years that Taylor gained popularity to the public, she has gone through dating many actors and singers but eventually paused for a break on the dating scene. The country-turned-pop star admitted that she's hit her stride as a single woman and tried finding her way on her own.
Currently, she is rumored to be dating singer Matthew Healy but there is still no confirmation from any parties. The Shake It Off songstress added, "I am 24, perfectly happy being alone. One of the reasons I'm perfectly happy being alone is that no one gets hurt this way."
According to Swift in her interview with another magazine, Rolling Stone, just a couple of months ago, the songs in her latest album named 1989 is "not as boy-centric of an album, because my life hasn't been boycentric." She also added that she hasn't put herself out there much and made herself available in the almost 2 years since she and Styles split. "Like, have not gone on a date," Swift said. "People are going to feel sorry for me when you write that. But it's true."
