Are you having trouble connecting to the internet today? Your computer might have the DNSChanger Malware, you may want to check your system immediately to see whether you have DNS Changer malware or not.

DNS Changer malware was created by seven hackers 5 years ago who wanted to redirect people's traffic to rogue servers so that they could generate revenue from advertising companies.

This criminal group was caught in 2011 by FBI agents who arrested the six Estonian hackers. They reportedly raised $14 million from their illegitimate business.

Despite repeated alerts, the number of computers that probably are infected is more than 277,000 worldwide, down from about 360,000 in April. Of those still infected, the FBI believes that about 64,000 are in the United States.

Most victims don't even know their computers have been infected, although the malicious software probably has slowed their Web surfing and disabled their antivirus software, making their machines more vulnerable to other problems.

The FBI has issued a deadline on Monday, July 9 as of 12:01 EST for all computer users to check to see if they have the DNSChanger Malware, otherwise they will not be able to access the internet.

You can check to see if your computer is DNS ok by going to www.dns-ok.us. If your computer has the DNSChanger malware, you'll be provided links to resources to remove it.
