The general reception on the recent The Flash Arrow crossover episodes is positive, DC Comics fans, or not. The two episodes in the two CW Network series received favorable reviews and fared great in the ratings game, too. The Flash Arrow crossover episodes have somehow made fans say they are the best comic-book based on TV and it is not surprising if they will ask for more.
If you've got two DC superheroes dazzling on TV, would it hurt to add another two? Stephen Amell, who stars as the Arrow, says doing so is not a bad idea because it will be for the fans. For him, Arrow, the Flash can co-exist with Fox's Gotham, and NBC's Constantine which are both in their first season like the Flash.
"I know the logistics are challenging and the politics are above my pay grade, but in the interest of putting the best product forth for the fans, I don't think we should limit ourselves to Flash and Arrow crossing over because we're both on the CW," Amell told USA Today.
"If you're owned by Warner Bros., or if you're just in the DC Universe, everything should be in play."
The Flash and Arrow had no problem combining their stories and sets due to the fact that they are on the same network. The case will be different if they want to hook up with Gotham and Constantine. Aside from the fact that they are from different networks, Gotham is on a different time-line.
Before Gotham and Constantine, there were talks that the Flash Arrow tandem could expand and team up with another DC superhero. If talks with Supergirl of CBS will produce good results, there's a chance that Superman's cousin will join Oliver Queen (Amell) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) in fighting crime. Supergirl, which is yet to start production and find an actress for the title role, will be produced by Greg Berlanti, the same guy behind the Flash and Arrow.
