From a successful The Flash Arrow crossover episode, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and his crew will return next week for their mid-season finale. How epic this would be? Well, the show will finally find an answer to the mystery that scarlet speedster has been chasing ever since the first episode. In The Flash Series Episode 9, to be called "The Man In Yellow Suit" Barry Allen will finally discover who killed his mom, a murder which was blamed to his father (John Wesley Shipp) who is currently in prison. However, it would be an ugly meeting with the killer as he is very similar to the Flash.
The title of the upcoming the Flash series episode is basically the same words they used to describe Barry's new nemesis. The Man in Yellow Suit is also known as the Reverse Flash. Although Barry is eager to meet the man who ruined his family, Grant Gustin said that his character is terrified of that prospect.
In a scoop by TV Line for The Flash Series Episode 9, it wrote:
"Barry and Reverse-Flash come face-to-face," Grant Gustin affirms. The actor then makes clear that it's not The Flash who meets the foe, but Barry-"and it rocks him, to say the least. It terrifies him." After it is confirmed to Barry that Reverse-Flash killed his mom, "It's kind of a relief in some ways, because it confirms that Barry isn't crazy and that what he thought he saw as a kid is true," Gustin previews. "Now he is more determined than ever to find this guy and stop him, kill him. This might be a special circumstance where Barry would break a neck."
The Flash Series Episode 9 will pick up from a strong episode 8 that saw Barry, Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), and other guys from Central City welcome Arrow (Stephen Amell) and his crew. That episode attracted 4.34 million viewers, making it the second most watched episode of the young show.
The Flash Series Episode 9 will air on December 9 and will take a hiatus before returning on January 20 next year.
