A new James Bond movie will be out next year! This will star our own 46-year-old Daniel Craig who will still be playing the main character of the famous James Bond throughout the film.
After the hunky actor had previously appeared in other James Bond movies such as Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and Skyfall, Craig have another addition to that list as he will be starring in an upcoming 2015 installment named Spectre. The action film was announced in a Buckinghamshire, England press event on Thursday, December 4.
Sam Mendes, the director of one of the James Bond installments, Skyfall, will be returning to the helm of the new film Spectre. The much anticipated movie also includes the cast Rory Kinnear, Naomie Harris, Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Ralph Fiennes, and Ben Whishaw. The title Spectre is actually an acronym for Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion.
The much awaited action film will be making its debut more than three years after Mendes introduced Skyfall. Mendes revealed to BBC Radio in a recent interview, "I felt an attachment to the characters that we created in Skyfall. I felt like there was unfinished business, and that there was a lot more I could do with them once I'd kind of stepped aside and had some time off."
The film will be out on November 6 next year. The 24th James Bond flick will be casting in some new faces to the decades-long franchise of Bond films. Christoph Waltz has been cast for a character named Oberhauser, Dave Bautista will play the role of Mr. Hinx, Monica Bellucci will appear as Lucia Sciarra, Léa Seydoux will be the character Madeleine Swann, and Andrew Scott was cast as Denbigh.
The new film Spectre has very big shoes to fill as the most recent James Bond movie became the highest-grossing UK film as well as the 9th highest grossing movie of all time, bringing in more than $1.1 billion at the worldwide box office.
