BBC is deep in development as "Orphan Black" nears its release date for next year. Although a specific premier hasn't been announced, other details including new cast members of Season 3 have been unveiled. Ksenia Solo, James Frain and Justin Chatwin are among the newest members of this highly anticipated scifi television series.
While Sarah, Alison Hendrix and Cosima Niehaus continue on together as a team, new characters will enter the realm of "Orphan Black" and spark new conflicts in Season 3. Among the three new cast members is Latvian-Canadian actress Ksenia Solo. She is known for her portrayal of Kenzi on the television series "Lost Girl". Ksenia Solo will portray the character of Shay in season 3 of "Orphan Black", who is "a soulful and compassionate holistic healer with a great sense of humor destined to become a friend to Cosima," according to the official Twitter page of "Orphan Black".
James Frain also becomes cast of "Orphan Black" Season 3 as Ferdinand, who is "a well-educated, 'cleaner' who is both charming and intimidating. [He] is a powerful player in a secretive, multi-national political faction that operates with questionable ethics and a ruthless approach," reports BBC America. James Frain is known for his work in "The Tudors" and "True Blood."
Justin Chatwin is also another addition to "Orphan Black" season 3, who portrays the role of Jason Kellerman, who according to the network is "a savvy drug-dealer in the guise of a charismatic businessman."
The official synopsis (although may be quite a spoiler) updates of "Orphan Black" season 3 reads: "This season the trio's bond remains strong but they've all made choices that have dire consequences, leaving Sarah to navigate a dangerous world of new enemies and shifting allegiances. She immediately sets off fighting for survival and willing to risk everything to find her missing daughter Kira and foster mother, Mrs. S (Maria Doyle Kennedy). Unsure who to trust, Sarah starts an all out war against immense forces. A powerful member of the Dyad group of companies, clone Rachel Duncan, has been tasked with negotiating the allegiance of Sarah and the other clones. She'll stop at nothing to complete her mission, using those who love Sarah as leverage, including confidant Paul Dierden (Dylan Bruce). But Sarah is willing to risk everything and employs scorched earth tactics that inevitably imperil the clones."
