Angelina Jolie: Before And After The Car Crash Accident!

| By

Angelina Jolie, one of Hollywood's biggest stars got into a car accident after her "Unbroken" screening.

The 39-year-old actress and director was riding in an SUV around 7 p.m. Sunday when it skidded in the rain and hit a curb, causing its two tires to explode.

"It was pretty bad - the tire exploded and its amazing nothing worse happened to the car. I wouldn't be surprised if she has whiplash," a witness told the Daily News.

According to TMZ, Jolie didn't seek any medical help and was able to leave the scene after 30 minutes riding in another chauffeur-driven vehicle.

The Chevy Suburban car she hired was then left stranded at Santa Monica Boulevard.

Likewise, David Beckham reportedly injured his shoulder in a car crash at weekend after picking up his oldest son Brooklyn from a soccer game. They bumped with another vehicle and fortunately no major injuries were reported.

Though Angelina Jolie suffered from an accident, the "Unbroken" director still looked polished and poised as she appears in public on Tuesday.

Jolie was all business in a conservative grey blazer and matching long skirt at a luncheon promoting her new movie Unbroken in New York.

Unbroken is an upcoming war drama film produced and directed by Angelina Jolie herself. The movie is based on the 2010 non-fiction book Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption, written by Laura Hillenbrand.

The story focuses on the World War II hero Louis "Louie" Zamperini, a former Olympic track star, who survives a plane crash in the Pacific, and spends 47 days drifting on a raft, and then more than two and a half years living in several Japanese prisoner of war camps.

The film Unbroken honors the 97 year old World War II hero who's very close to Angelina who died on July 2014. The movie is set to release on Christmas Day, December 25, 2014 as Angelina's hand-picked actor Jack O'Connell acts for the role of Louis "Louie" Zamperini.
