Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and her new husband Jionni LaValle have delayed their honeymoon because of an unfortunate incident. After the couple was married in a big Great Gatsby themed party, in New Jersey over the weekend, the bride and the groom looked like they couldn't wait to celebrate. Instead of lying at the beach on their trunks and bikinis, soaking up the sun and drinking margaritas, the new groom, laValle, was at Totowa Municipal Court on Monday, December 1, where he plead guilty to DUI charges. This came just a couple of days after saying "I do" to one another.
Although LaValle was seen in court right after his own wedding, his initial arrest was actually dated back in August. LaValle was pulled over and was arrested on Interstate 80 in Totowa, New Jersey, on August 7 at 3:30 A.M. and was charged with driving under the influence, unsafe lane changes, as well as careless driving.
The two lesser charges were dropped after Snooki's new husband had plead guilty to the DUI charge. This resulted to his license being revoked for three months and he will also be required to attend drug and alcohol classes.
Despite the earlier misdemeanor with drinking and driving, the newlywed couple did not have a problem drinking at their lovely wedding. Snooki admitted on her podcast Naturally Nicole on Tuesday that she turned to drinking to help her calm her nerves. She confessed, "I had the worst jitters. I was nervous, I had to have a little vodka. I was like, 'Where's my vodka? I need my nerves to calm down.'"
Looks like the couple can't seem to stop celebrating as Snooki tweeted last Sunday that the couple was drinking yet again. She tweeted, "Hungover with my husband. (That will not get old) getting mcdonalds and being slobs together. Waiting for walking dead tonight." Hope they will stay out of trouble and not drive when they're drunk.
